Valley of the Sun is een driemansrockband, opgericht in 2010. Met een unieke mix van stonerrock, grunge en psychedelica wordt hun sound vergeleken met bands als Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Truckfighters en Soundgarden.
Op hun album ‘Quintessence’ (2024) leveren ze opnieuw zware grooves, krachtige riffs en de explosieve hardrockvocalen van frontman Ryan Ferrier. Hun meeslepende liveshows zijn riff-gedreven, af en toe sereen en altijd luid.
With one leg in stoner rock and the other anchored vocally in the terrain that was previously marked by Alice in Chains or Soundgarden, Valley of the Sun by no means rely solely on fuzz strength, but also bring enough sense for dark atmosphere and melodies.
