The electronic music scene never stands still. New sounds, new systems, new ways of working. But somewhere between passion, creativity, and the reality of the music industry, tension arises. How do you stay true to your artistic voice? How do you build a sustainable career without burning out? And how do you make sure you’re getting what you’re rightfully owed?
This event brings together artists, labels, professionals, and enthusiasts for conversations that matter. From balancing creativity and commerce, to understanding your rights as an artist, to the raw craft of live performance and improvisation. Creativity and business in the evolving world of music!
In today’s fast-moving music world, creativity and commerce are more intertwined and in tension than ever before. Artists are expected to be consistent content creators, hop on trends to satisfy the public while industry professionals juggle the need to innovate with the pressure to perform.
So how do you protect the art when the industry demands algorithms, engagement, and endless output? What role do executives and managers play in nurturing creativity instead of exhausting it?
This panel brings together voices from across the electronic dance scene to unpack what it really means to build a sustainable career in an industry, built on both passion and performance while maintaining good engagement on different platforms.
From reshaping what success looks like to building spaces where creativity can truly thrive, this conversation highlights why this balance is vital for the future of the electronic music scene.

Fight for your rights as an artist!
For many, making music begins as a passion. But when your hobby starts turning into your career, new challenges appear. We’ve all heard the stories: unfair contracts, missing credits, and deals that don’t truly serve the artist. So how can you protect yourself and make informed choices in an industry that often moves faster than the fine print?
In this session, we’ll explore the fundamentals every artist should know: from navigating label and agency relationships to understanding what organisations like Buma/Stemra and Sena actually do
What are your rights as an artist? What should you look out for before signing a deal? How can you make sure your creative work is respected, credited, and paid for? And what resources exist to help you build a sustainable, empowered career in music?
Because knowing your rights isn’t just about protection, it’s about taking ownership of your artistry and your future.

Live Performance Workshop with Baseck (Boys Noize Records USA)
Los Angeles-based electronic artist Baseck has spent decades turning chaos into rhythm. Emerging from the underground rave scene of the ’90s, he’s become known for his wild, hands-on performances, where any hardware that touches his hands becomes an instrument and every sound is created in the moment.
In this workshop, Baseck breaks down his approach to live improvisation and hardware performance, showing how instinct, rhythm, and risk drive his creative process. Drawing from his collaborations with synth designers like Noise Engineering and Dave Smith Instruments, he reveals how to push machines to their expressive limits.
How do you build a live set that truly lives? How do you balance control and chaos? precision and spontaneity? How do you keep the crowd hooked?
Join Baseck for an electrifying session that dives deep into real-time music-making, creative experimentation, and the real art of improvised performance!
