MEZZ presents PULSE, a new heartbeat for Breda’s electronic music scene with icons in the techno industry. PULSE offers space for both iconic international artists, upcoming national talent and visitors to experiment, connect and grow.

Inspired by the mysticism of Berlin’s legendary clubs and festivals like Draaimolen and Dekmantel, PULSE transforms MEZZ into an underground sanctuary for cutting-edge electronic music. Expect immersive nights where light and shadow dance to the deep pulse of the beat.

Ben Klock

Ben Klock is one of the most sought-after techno dj’s and has been a key figure in Berlin’s Berghain since 2005, where his monthly residency cemented his reputation for crafting immersive musical journeys. Known for marathon sets and intricate narratives, Klock’s talent has earned him accolades like BBC Radiio 1’s Essention mix of the year (2015) and a landmark compilation for fabric (2012). His releases on Ostgut Ton, including the iconic album One (2009) and the subzero track from Before One, are genre-defining works, while his remixes span artists like Depeche Mode and Robert Hood. Founder of the Klockworks label and curator of the PHOTON event series – renowned for its fusion of light, architecture and sound – Klock continues to set new standards in techno, with PHOTON returning in 2023 with a fresh artistic vision.

Etapp Kyle

Etapp Kyle’s cavernous and hallucinatory techno explores sound as a spatial dimension, resonating through the world’s most respected clubs and festivals. Born in Ukraine in 1987, his journey began with classical training before a teenage club experience shifted his focus to DJing. After honing his craft at Moscow’s ARMA 17, a meeting with Ben Klock led to releases on Klockworks and Ostgut Ton, solidifying his reputation for ultra-detailed, sci-fi-inspired productions. Known for blending musicality with architectural and physical space, Etapp’s work captures the immersive essence of the club experience.

Amsterdam-based DJ Cobahn embarked on her musical journey amidst Seoul’s vibrant techno scene, immersing herself in its spiritual depths. With regular performances at Club Vurt, renowned as an underground techno bunker in Seoul, she refined her craft through various parties and now expands her musical horizons across Europe. 

Influenced by Eastern culture and the captivating force of nature, her music seamlessly blends deep, psychedelic elements into a dark, polyrhythmic, yet irresistibly groove soundscape. Cobahn’s sonic journey aims to transport listeners into a ritualistic state of mind, where the boundaries between consciousness and the subconscious blur. Focused on a spectrum of deep, organic, and avant-garde sounds, her sets are deeply connected to hypnotism, inviting audiences to explore the depths of their own psyche through dark, mesmerizing rhythms.

Human Space Machine

Dutch producer Human Space Machine creates captivating sonic experiences that blend deep techno with progressive elements and psychedelic influences. His productions are often trippy yet inviting, and released on respected labels like Nous’klaer Audio and De Lichting, the latter which he co-founded. With a skillful mix of driving drum patterns, heady atmospheres, and evolving sequences, his DJ-performances are engaging and dynamic. Human Space Machine has played at renowned venues and events like Draaimolen, De School (Amsterdam), Tresor (Berlin), Ratherlost (Lofi, Amsterdam), Breakfast Club (Radion, Amsterdam), Doel (Belgium) and Laut (Barcelona).

Ju Lee

Ju Lee is a promising upcoming DJ in the techno scene with Hungarian and Romanian roots and established in the south of the Netherlands. Her love for techno started 2 decades ago and throughout the years she crafted and tune her sound to be in sync with who she is today. The courage leap she made 2 years ago from being a raver to being a dj completely changed her life in the way she perceives the sound. Techno is more than music to her, it is a way of living, a way of expression connection. She played numerous local events, winning talent competitions in prestigious clubs and had her festival debut in Germany.

Her sound is showcasing the deepness and the power of techno on a spiritual level bringing together various sound elements and rhythmic patterns. Her sweet spot lies between blending dark, grooves, deep and raw techno, ready to be served throughout the evening.
