Music Minded Breda is een gezamenlijk podium om de Bredase muziekscene een warm hart toe te dragen. Voor dit digitale platform slaan Nieuwe Veste, Phoenix, A-Broad, MEZZ, Sound Dog, POB, Pier 15, Breda Barst, Sound of Europe, Studio Solo en Surplus Jongerenwerk de handen ineen. Gezamenlijk bieden ze Bredase bands in corona tijd een digitaal podium zodat zij toch kunnen optreden voor hun publiek en fans. Met in deze editie vanuit Poppodium Phoenix op 27 maart: Ibex Komodo & Fyah Roots band, Steel and Stone en een afterparty met niemand minder dan DJ Mantis-Hifi.

Ibex Komodo & Fyah Roots band

Ibex Komodo is a Reggae/Dancehall singer from Rotterdam (The Netherlands). He is also a keyboard player and has performed with several Jamaican artists, like Fantan Mojah, Lutan Fyah, Turbulence, Eek A Mouse, Gyptian and Jah Cure. After years of experience Ibex started to make his own music in October 2018 and now performs with his own band, called Fyah Roots.
Together with the Fyah Roots band and Ibex’s energy they can promise to give you an energetic show. Ibex Komodo writes his own songs and makes his own music.

Steel and Stone

Steel and Stone is a Roots-Reggae band from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The band was formed in 2016 by the lead singer Brantley MacDonald. The creation of Steel and Stone happened in co-operation with Mass Production Studio.
‘Our music and sound is characterized by the use of heavy bass lines and alternative melodies. This is combined with strong and sometimes confronting lyrics which are amplified by the spiritual harmonies of the background singers. We deliver a new and specific sound with in the Roots-Reggae music genre.’
In the summer of 2019 Steel and Stone had their first International tour in England. They performed in and around London and also on the beautiful One Love Festival. Here they performed alongside reggae-artists such as Misty in Roots, Yellowman, Reemah and Macka
